No one likes burpees

Though they should. Burpees are awesome. They are a total body workout. They’re never boring (we did 15 different kinds Tuesday). They’ll make you stronger!

And that’s what this is all about, right?

Tuesday’s class was awesome. Well I thought so. We did 1:00/1:00 burpees – basic, with a push up, one arm, one leg, one arm/one leg, side to side, box jump, jumping over box and so on. So I promised no burpees Thursday. Or Monday. 🙂

I’m having a little trouble deciding what to do in class tomorrow. I feel like a challenge (without burpees). Maybe something like this:

45/15

  • DB Snatch R 
  • DB Snatch L
  • Abs Roll Outs (using big ball)
  • DB Lunge
  • Running DB Punches (video is just the punching; we’ll add a run to it)
  • Extended arm spider plank
  • Overhead Med Ball (or DB) Squats
  • Dips
  • Side to Side Hop
  • DB Press

Rest 2 min

20/10

  • Barbell Lunges R
  • Barbell Lunges L
  • Barbell Jump Squats
  • Barbell Squats

Rest 2 minutes and repeat.

45/15

Finisher: Plank Sandbag Circle 5-10 min [sandbag currently weighs 40 lb; might take it down to 30]

plank – one person will place sandbag on back of person to their R. The placing person will run around the outside of the circle, remove the bag, complete a clean and press, then a swing. That person will pass the bag to the planker who will repeat. While all of this is going on, everyone else is holding plank variation

Abs: 20/10 x 3 rounds (if time)

  • Full Sit-up
  • Leg Raises
  • Lying Leg Raise + Crunch
  • Knee Ins
  • V-Up
  • Crunches
  • Knee Ins + Crunch
